Dear Colleagues, I'm pleased to announce a series of seminars from Prof. David B. Levin, Professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering of the University of Manitoba in Canada, in the frame of my course in Biotechnologies for Environmental Restoration and in the frame of the Seminars in Conservation and Evolution coordinated by Prof. Giulio Petroni. The seminars are open to students and colleagues. For more details you can contact me - simona.digregorio@unipi.it
Prof. Levin’s research is focused on “bioengineering for biofuels and bioproducts”, and integrates microbiology, biotechnology, and genome sciences with bioprocess and biosystems engineering. Prof. Levin was one of the Lead on the Genome Canada funded project on “Microbial genomics for biofuels and coproducts from biorefining processes”. Prof. Levin currently collaborates with Simona Di Gregorio and Giulio Petroni, on microbial degradation of recalcitrant compounds, including synthetic plastics, in the environment.
