• 18-24 September 2023 -  WELCOME WEEK Erasmus Incoming Students 2023/2024 organized by ESN with the participation of the University of Pisa, which will take place from September 18^th to 26^th, 2023. It's an agenda full of activities you don't want to miss. A Welcome Conference will be held at Polo Carmignani on 18^th September at 6:15 pm to kick off the Welcome week. Si rende nota la riapertura del BANDO ERASMUS 2023 - KA131 PER MOBILITÀ STUDENTESCA VERSO I PAESI ASSOCIATI AL PROGRAMMA.

Gli studenti interessati a presentare domanda alla riapertura del Bando Erasmus 2023 possono accedere al Portale Erasmus Mobility e compilare la relativa domanda online, nel periodo compreso tra il 13 e il 26 settembre 2023 (ore 12).

Sono aperte le iscrizioni a Corri la Vita, l’evento benefico in programma domenica 24 settembre a Firenze, con partenza dal Parco de Le Cascine. Anche quest’anno Erasmus+ Indire sarà ai nastri di partenza della più grande manifestazione sportiva e solidale in Italia, con la corsa per le strade del capoluogo toscano e l’arrivo dei partecipanti che ritorna dopo tanti anni nel cuore della città, in Piazza della Signoria. L’Agenzia nazionale Erasmus+ Indire partecipa per il quinto anno consecutivo alla corsa con spirito di solidarietà verso una causa importante, la cui componente etica è un elemento che la avvicina ai valori di inclusione e di solidarietà, propri del Programma Erasmus+. Inoltre, la corsa si svolge nella Settimana europea dello Sport e rappresenta un’importante occasione per creare un legame solido tra il mondo dello sport e quello dell’istruzione in chiave europea, che consente di disseminare e valorizzare le esperienze dei protagonisti Erasmus. 

Per l’edizione 2023, l’Agenzia Erasmus+ Indire intende creare la squadra Erasmus composta da studenti, insegnanti, alunni, professori e tutte le persone legate al Programma Erasmus+ che prenderanno parte all’evento benefico. Per l’occasione, viene istituito anche il “Premio Erasmus”, un riconoscimento destinato al miglior classificato alla corsa fra i componenti della squadra Erasmus.

Nel giorno dell’evento, l’Agenzia sarà presente alla corsa anche con un punto informativo aperto a chiunque voglia conoscere più da vicino le opportunità di Erasmus+, dove sarà possibile ricevere alcuni gadget del programma.

Si rende nota la pubblicazione del Bando per l’assegnazione di n. 40 contributi di mobilità per tesi all’estero – anno 2023 (riapertura) destinato a aureandi che necessitino di svolgere parte della preparazione della loro tesi, per almeno due mesi continuativi, presso istituzioni, enti, imprese o aziende straniere, comunitarie, sopranazionali o internazionali con sede all'estero, di adeguato livello scientifico e culturale.

The course of study activated as part of a European project

The University of Pisa is launching a master’s degree in Biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence applied to Health, the only one of its kind in Italy, which will enable students to obtain a double degree with the University of Aix-Marseille or the University of Stockholm. The aim is to train professionals in the field of biotechnology applied to Health sciences with soft skills and advanced digital abilities.

“The progress made in recent years in the application of Artificial Intelligence  (AI) to health sciences demonstrates a growing demand for training by healthcare professionals and all those involved in biotechnological and biomedical research,” explains Professor Roberto Giovannoni of the University of Pisa, “hence the need to create an interdisciplinary and international master’s degree course with lectures and teaching activities entirely in English. The students enrolled in this master’s degree course will be able to receive mobility grants to study in France and Sweden (partner universities) and to carry out traineeships or thesis internships in prestigious universities, research institutes and companies”.

The master’s degree has been set up as part of the European project “AI and Health”, financed by the European Commission in the DIGITAL EUROPE call, which has as its participants: the University of Pisa, the University of Aix-Marseille, the University of Stockholm, the University of Barcelona, Inria (Institut National De Recherche en Informatique et Automatique) and, as industrial partners, two Pisan companies, Kode Srl and Ingeniars, the latter already a spin-off of the University of Pisa, and Genomeup of Rome. For the University of Pisa, the departments of Biology, Information Engineering, Informatics, Pharmacy, Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery, and Law are involved.
